Northern Colorado Daylily Club Foundation & Goals

Founded in the 1960’s, the Northern  Colorado Daylily Club (NCDC) is an  educational and social organization  whose mission is to promote the  enjoyment of daylilies (genus  Hemerocallis).  Our purpose is to educate  our members and the general public  about all aspects of growing daylilies in  northern Colorado.  To further these  goals, we maintain the Daylily Display  Garden at the Gardens on Spring Creek  in Fort Collins, provide lectures, garden  tours and plant swaps, and promote  fellowship among our members and  with members of other groups with  similar goals.  Membership is free.

One of our club’s main activities is to  maintain the Daylily Garden at the Gardens  on Spring Creek in Fort Collins.  This garden, which is a registered American Daylily Society Display Garden, has over 140  cultivars of daylilies, many created by local  hybridizers. See the PowerPoint presentation below with our current collection.  The club decides which cultivars  to include in this bed, plants them, and  maintains the bed throughout the year.  Visitors to the Gardens on Spring Creek  enjoy the variety of colorful blooms  throughout the summer.
